AT HOME IN THE WORLD

My name is Harry Betist. Managing director and owner of Tourreps. Experienced, results-oriented, young at heart, and a team player. 

In the ferry, aviation, and tour operating sectors, I held positions in product management, marketing & sales, and general management, after which I made the move to independent entrepreneurship in 2000. 

Since then, tourism representation and communication have been my domain. I was involved as managing partner/managing director at various communication agencies and at Tourreps since 2014.

The many long-standing personal contacts with clients, prospects, and industry colleagues make our travel profession what it is: a people's business. Like every year at the world's largest and leading travel trade fair, ITB Berlin, I take the time to interact with the locals. Such as this sympathetic Colombian barista. Talking about destinations, products, accommodations, and sights. After all, knowledge and content are key.

Both professionally and personally, I am a global citizen. Travel has become a lifestyle. Hungry for the unknown and at the same time inspired by the familiar things the world has to offer. Like the unique wildlife of Rwanda, the irresistible natural beauty of Norway, the cultural richness of Thailand, or the many surprising faces of Cabo Verde. 

In Gouda, known worldwide for its cheeses, I am at home. With my Ivorian Clarysse by my side. In the 'green heart' of the Netherlands, a stone's throw from the country's four major cities and main airports.

Collaboration with Tourreps is always based on a tailor-made approach. For a year, for several years, or just for a few months. With pleasure we develop a proposal for a project or a one-off activation as well. We have the in-house expertise for every tourism communication challenge, or we find it within our (international) partner network.
